Sapphire glass has excellent thermal, electrical and dielectric properties and is resistant to chemical corrosion. It is resistant to high temperatures, has good thermal conductivity, high hardness, can transmit infrared light, and has stable chemical properties. Therefore, it is often used to replace other optical materials to make infrared-transmitting optical windows, and is widely used in instrumentation and high-power laser windows.
